Contex achieves record sales growth with Promark, an Ingram Micro company
Contex has achieved record year-over-year sales growth with Promark, an Ingram Micro company, in the document imaging space. Promark has been a distributor of Contex wide format scanners since 2004, and specializes in data storage, data management, and electronic document imaging products and services. Contex attributes its record Q2 2012 to Q2 2013 sales growth with Promark to the launch of its new wide format scanning products, as well as Promark's focused approach to the Contex product line.
Contex anticipates continued growth for multi-function solutions now that Promark will be selling its wide-format scanners with leading printers to mutual channel partners working with its parent company, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM). The combination of wide format printers and Contex scanners offers channel partners a variety of total imaging solutions for businesses big and small.
“Demand for complete imaging solutions is on the rise, and Contex’s new technology and our focused approach has certainly caught the attention of our document imaging channel partners and resulted in record sales of Contex’s wide format scanners,” states Jeff Houle, Imaging Specialist, Promark. “The cross-sell opportunities we now have with Ingram Micro bring tremendous value and greater opportunities to our vendors and our channel partners. We’re pleased to be the distributor of choice for Contex and will build on our success.”
“Promark’s strong focus and commitment to the business of wide format scanning in the VAR space, combined with its in-house expertise on technical and business aspects of Contex scanners, are instrumental to our growing success within the IT channel,” comments Steve Blanken, General Manager, Contex North and South America. “The acquisition of Promark by Ingram Micro is also lending to greater opportunities and will ultimately enable us to expand our reach in the U.S.”
Contex’s newest state-of-the-art scanners are built to handle industry specific tasks and offer Promark’s channel partners tailored scanning solutions for the commercial and public sectors. The Contex IQ series is the leading scanning solution for the technical market. Launched in late fall 2012, the Contex IQ scanner uses advanced, unmatched CIS technology to deliver high quality scans of drawings, maps, and other technical documents. For high-productivity archiving teams and reprographics departments, the Promark experts recommend the HD Ultra. It’s recognized as the market's fastest wide format scanner and has received the prestigious Best Wide Format Scanner award from Wide Format Imaging for two consecutive years. The HD iFLEX flatbed is the most recent addition to the Contex line. This 18x24-inch scanner addresses the demands of specialty scanning and uses the same top quality camera technology as the HD Ultra. The iFLEX is capable of scanning documents up to 24x36, delivering the highest quality images in color, monochrome or grayscale. The flatbed is the most versatile scanner on the market today for wide format scanning of any type of original such as fine art, delicate or thick mounted, as well as odd originals like fabric or objects with shapes and depth.
